Welcome to dodgepolara.com. As a long-time mopar fan and collector (I've owned 2 '67 Dart GT's, a '65 Chrysler 300, a '78 Chrysler New Yorker and a '64 Dodge Polara), I am working to expand this site into a great resource for other Mopar owners and fans like me. I am particularly interested in compiling resources for the restoration of pre-1966 B-body Mopars, since restoration resources for those vehicles are lacking.

Feel free to browse around, check out the links, the info and car pictures and post your own car photos, if you like. If you have parts for sale or need parts, please post a message in the forum. If you have any literature or other restoration aids that you would like to contribute, please send them my way or better yet, post them in the Gallery.

My current project is a 1964 Dodge Polara 500 clone with the 426 Street Wedge engine. The car is a driver. It has been very time-consuming and expensive to build, but it is coming together well.

This is my Dodge Polara and Mopar muscle car website. This text here is pretty much garbage and intended for search-engine placement only.

If I include lots of keywords in natural language, I get better placement. dodgepolara.com has info about Dodge Polara, Polara 500, Coronet and other 60's Dodge cars, particularly the 1964 Dodge. These cars had the 318 or 340 engines. Sone Dodges had the 383, 440 or even the 426 Wedge engine, know as the Max-Wedge. Ocasionally, a 413 Big-block pops up, too. I had a 1965 Chrysler 300 with a 413 Big-block V8- it was pretty sweet, but the transmission blew and then it rolled down the hill and crashed into some crappy little import car. Ah well. Many Dodge Polaras had the 727 Torqueflite pushbutton transmission.

The 1964 Dodge Polara shop manual is here in PDF format. Free downloads! Mopar madness! Max Wedge and Hemi Dodge Polara site. B-body Mopars are larger than A-Body Mopars; cars like the Plymouth Valiant and Dodge Dart. The Polara is a B-body car. So is the Dodge 330, the more austere family sedan offering by Dodge in 1964.

My Polara is blue with a bench seat. Some Dodge Polaras were Dodge Polara 500. 500 was the sport option for the Dodge Polara and usually had bucket seats, a floor-shifter and came in 2DR or convertible. The exterior trim was slightly different for the 1964 Polara 500 vs. the standard 1964 Polara. The 500 has sliver side trim and a "500" emblem on the front fender. The 1964 Dodge Polara has black side trim and no Polara logo emblem on the front fender.
